Noel Gallagher slates brother Liam's new single online as he labels it 's**t'

Noel Gallagher won’t be buying Liam Gallagher’s latest record anytime soon.

The veteran musician, 52, who hasn’t spoken to his sibling in over a decade, reminded fans that the former Oasis frontman, 47, has a new single out – but admitted he hopes it doesn’t get airplay time.

While an Oasis reunion remains in limbo, with Noel forced to deny Liam’s claims that he had turned down £100 million for a tour, he took to social media on Sunday night to share his views on his younger brother’s solo material.

“Nothing to see here dudes and dollies,” he wrote on Twitter.

Without mentioning Liam, he made a remark about his family member’s record.

“Silence is still golden.. .and just in case you weren’t already aware someone still has a new single out.

“I believe it’s called ‘Once’ which is the exact amount of times it should be played.”

He added: “It’s still available in all good record shops but mostly the s**t ones. Happy Sunday.

The singer’s comments come days after it was reported both Noel and Liam’s children have urged the duo to work past their decade-long rift.

Hoping to put their differences aside, they have been encouraged to extend the olive branch by Noel’s daughter Anais, 19, and Liam’s sons Lennon, 20, and Gene, 18, and his daughter Molly, 21.

A source told The Sun: “Noel and Liam are back on speaking terms and have been communicating recently, mainly by text. All the kids would love nothing more than to see their dad and uncle being friends again.”

Liam previously admitted he would like to make up with his older brother for the sake of their mum Peggy, who has been devastated by their long-running feud.
