Grieving Olly Murs is comforted by voice recordings of his late friend Caroline Flack.
Six months after the TV presenter tragically took her own life Olly thinks about Caroline every day and regularly listens to voice notes she sent him.
Olly, who presented The X Factor with Caroline, said: “We were like brother and sister, I’ve never experienced that level of friendship before.
“For Caz not to be here now it is hard – it’s difficult and it doesn’t ever get easy.

“I am still struggling and it hurts every day thinking about what she must have gone through.
“I just wanted to hear her voice again, or hear a conversation with her.”
He is particularly upset at losing a bunch of WhatsApp conversat-ions they shared: “I had like a three or four-year long WhatsApp conversation and somehow it had been deleted and I had only got the last year of our conversation.”

Caroline sent Olly a special message ahead of last year’s tour following a difficult time battling anxiety and self doubt.
He read the message out: “She put: ‘When I met Olly for the first time I felt like I had met my soulmate, and not in a weird way, it was just like meeting someone I have known all my life. I
have never laughed as much as I did in 2011 when we first hosted the Xtra Factor, and that experience will always stay with me forever’.
“It always gets me upset when I read it but it made me realise that time we had together was one of her happiest moments and that makes me happy.”
Olly, who performs live at Virgin Media V Festival on ITV2 this weekend, has found strength in his new relationship with girlfriend Amelia Tank, and they even have a puppy together.
Speaking on the podcast Vicky Pattison: The Secret To, Olly gushed: “We wouldn’t have got a dog if we weren’t stable and didn’t love each other.
“I am making baby gates for the f***ing kitchen, the last 12 months have just been amazing, it’s really changed everything, I am so happy.”
