Phillip Schofield scolded by Alice Beer as he acts up in This Morning studio

This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield was branded a “naughty boy” on today’s show by TV personality Alice Beer.

Alice, 55, appeared on the show to present a segment about cycling, with the sale of bicycles flying through the roof since the lockdown began.

More and more Brits are turning to cycling as their preferred mode of transport, as opposed to braving packed trains or buses in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

In the studio, Phil and Holly Willoughby stood behind three bicycles, demonstrating the bike equipment as Alice appeared via video call.

Alice presented three different styles of bicycles to viewers, ranging from light-weight racer bikes to more weighty mountain bikes.

Climbing on top of one bike, Phil tried his best to look like a professional cyclist, pulling funny faces as he rode around the studio.

Later, Alice showed off a pair of cycling gloves, helping to prevent friction between skin and the bike handles.

While she spoke, Phillip looked distracted, waving his gloves in front of his face and pulling faces into the camera.

Realising Phil was acting up over in the ITV studios, Alice lost her temper.

Alice snapped: “For goodness sake! What is he on this morning?

Before scolding him further, adding: “You didn’t listen to any of that Phillip. Naughty boy.”

After Alice hung up the call, Phillip stayed quiet, struggling to get the fingerless bike glove off his hand.

Siding with Alice, Holly remarked: “You can’t get it off now? You deserve that!”

This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV
