Piers Morgan branded 'idiot c***womble' by Lord Sugar in savage Twitter take down

Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan and The Apprentice star Lord Alan Sugar have reignited their never-ending social media feud as the businessman branded the star a ‘self promoting c***womble’.

The fresh row kicked off on Thursday night after Piers tweeted about the latest French sanctions which the country hope will curb the rise of coronavirus.

Posting to his millions of followers, Piers raged: “BREAKING: France suspends ALL football until further notice.

“Britain will proceed with all football and allow fans to attend. Someone’s experts are wrong.”

Piers’ tweet was the latest in a string of public attacks on Boris Johnson and the government for how they have handed the pandemic.

Quote tweeting the post, Lord Sugar raged: “Shut it. You have no clue about this crisis.

“Just shut your big mouth and let the experts deal with it.

“You are not a medical expert.

“You just cause trouble winding people up.”

Minutes later a Twitter user tweeted a mocked-up picture of Piers on Sky news.

The headline read: “Breaking news. Piers tests positive for idiocy.”

The post added: “UK hopes the self promoting c***womble self isolates forever.”

Clearly loving the tongue-in-cheek attack, Lord Sugar tagged Piers in the post before simply continuing: “Love it.”

Piers is yet to reply publicly to the BBC star’s post.

In a separate tweet, Pies defended his right to rant about the situation – claiming the UK will be hit with a stronger round of the virus in just under a month.

Susanna Reid’s co-host ranted: “I’m not spreading panic or false news.

“I’m watching what is happening in Italy and we know it will be happening in Britain within 3/4 weeks – and it’s terrifying.

If you’re ‘bored’ or ‘irritated’ by my coronavirus tweets, then just unfollow, mute or block me.

“I’m going to continue informing people of what is happening and challenging the government on their decision-making.

“This is the biggest threat to civilian life since WW2. Wake up.”
