Speaking about the experience, Piers shared: “It was like we had come out of some zombie apocalypse movie,
“Then I had my hair cut. It was quite unnerving, I walked in and was greeted by a young lady firing a gun at my head, but actually all of it is an interesting experience.
“The guy from the cafe had the visors on and gloves. The people in the hairdressers they have their gear on.”
Piers shared a picture of his new locks to his Instagram page, which revealed an equally-coiffured Susanna Reid, 49, in the background of the shot.

A third added: “Looking good, Piers.”
As well as bragging about his new ‘do, Piers got into a fiery row on today’s GMB instalment.
Piers locked horns with Labour MP Lucy Powell.
Piers challenged the Shadow Business Secretary to explain how the Labour Party expects the government to be paid back if the furlough scheme gets an extension.
The programme was put in place in March in a bid to safeguard workers affected by the coronavirus crisis and is set to come to an end in October this year.
Ms Powell defended suggestions the furlough scheme should be extended to cover sectors expected to experience long-term consequences but failed to provide evidence on how her party would pay for the extension of the programme.
Piers pointed out the money paid out to help businesses pay wages to their staff would have to be returned to the Government.
