Pop star Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field have opened up about a terrifying charity trip to Haiti where they were threatened with being beheaded.
The couple were in the Caribbean destination with Unicef in 2010 when they were faced with the horrifying situation.
Speaking on his Ayda’s podcast Postcards From The Edge, singer Robbie, 46, explained: “I got threatened to be beheaded in Haiti.
“We were going out there to help.
“When we were threatened to be beheaded, I was like, ‘Should we go to the next street then?’ and looking back, it was scary.”

Backing up her husband’s claims Loose Women star Ayda, 41, added: “I was with you, I was being threatened to be beheaded as well.”
Despite being faced with the terrible situation, the trip didn’t dampen Robbie’s passion for his charity work.
In 2012, Robbie visited Mexico City to make a short film about children living in poverty.
The Rock DJ hitmaker’s revelation is the latest podcast the singer has done while in coronavirus lockdown.

Last week, Robbie explained how he became “morbidly obese” when he used to go food shopping after getting high.
He was known for being a party animal back in his heyday but has now ditched alcohol and drugs for a new lifestyle.
When reflecting on his left after quitting boyband Take That in 1995, teetotal Robbie said that back in the day his waistline expanded due to the amount of junk food he ate.
Speaking on his At Home With The Williamses podcast, the Angles singer said: “I rented a flat. I went to the supermarket on my first shop. Once. Stoned.

“Don’t go to a supermarket stoned. You make bad choices.
“I opened the fridge door and there was this whole Mr Kipling cake.
“And I can remember this moment going, ‘Hang on, I don’t live with my mum. I can eat all that cake’.”
He continued: “That was January. By February I was morbidly obese. I looked like a farm animal.”
The dad of four has opened about his weight struggles in he past and he became an ambassador for Weight Watchers in 2018.
