Love Island’s Shaughna Phillips took to Instagram to say that she is ‘convinced’ she’d had coronavirus while in the South African villa.
Addressing fans on her Instagram story the stunner reeled off her symptoms, saying she had suffered breathing problems while on the ITV2 hit dating show.
The 25-year-old penned: “Thinking about it, I’m convinced I had the coronavirus in the Love Island villa.
“I was ill! Couldn’t breathe laying down and all that s**t!”
Seeking back-up to verify events and her illness, she tagged Kitty Ure a producer of the show to confirm her story.

Shaughna said: “@kittyure back me up her pleases and thanks.”
The former democratic services officer appeared on the winter Love Island that was held in Cape Town, South Africa, from January 12 and was brutally dumped from the villa on February 14 – returning to the UK four days later.
As one of the original cast members, Shaughna spent just over a month away from the UK, beginning her journey on 12th January and finishing her time on the show on February 14.

The first ever confirmed case of Covid-19 was verified in Wuhan, China towards the end of 2019.
Although the virus has now ventured to South Africa the first case was not reported until March 5, after Shaughna had already arrived back in Britain.
With the first UK case being reported on February 28, it’s near on impossible that she could have caught the coronavirus before heading off to find love in the villa.
Meanwhile over on her Instagram story Shaughna was keeping her fans amused as she tried to social distance herself and embarked on a walk to the shops instead of the usual transport methods.

Taking the governments advice onboard and attempting to avoid contact with humanity, she took a stroll to Asda.
She said: “Thought it was a really good idea to go for a long walk to Asda”
“Get some exercise in and helps get you up and out the house for a few hours without actually socialising.”
Although it wasn’t long before Shaughna realised there was a slight error with her plan.
“Turns out the walk is 2 hours long, and now I’m waiting to be picked up 15 minutes from home, with shopping bags,” Shaughna wrote on a Boomerang of her shaking her head and looking displeased.
“Don’t run before you can walk kids. Or just don’t walk.”
