The Strictly Come Dancing tour now won’t take place until next year as the coronavirus outbreak continues to cripple the entertainment industry.
Pro Luba Mushtuk announced the news on Twitter, writing “On a positive note, it’s not cancelled and it’s still going to happen! We just all have to wait a little longer!
“Strictly Come Dancing – The Professionals 2020 UK Tour now scheduled for May and June of 2021! Looking forward to see you all then!”
A statement from Strictly bosses explained: “Due to recent government advice on Covid-19, we are sadly postponing the Strictly Come Dancing -The Professionals 2020 UK Tour scheduled for May and June.

“The health and wellbeing of our audiences and our touring team comes first and we appreciate your understanding.
“We have been able to reschedule the tour to May and June 2021 and we look forward to celebrating the return of Strictly Come Dancing – The Professionals with you then.”
The dance show was set to launch May 9 at the London Palladium, and the professional dancers have been training and planning for it for months.

With the UK currently in lockdown, and the Government urging people to stay at home, many iconic events such as Glastonbury, Isle of Wight festival and Download festival have been pulled due to coronavirus.
While the Strictly tour has been postponed until next year, it is still unsure if the series will take place in September as the UK struggles to contain the life-threatening bug.
According to The Sun, the show execs are currently locked in crisis talks as they’re struggling to pull in celebrities to compete on the show.

It has been reported, they’re unsure if the show will go ahead as the contestants usually kick start their training in June and bosses are worried they won’t have enough time to hone their routines.
An insider revealed: “The booker has been told to hang fire and make sure no one actually
signs on the dotted line for now.
“With the show being so up in the air, they have been told to try and get negotiations up to the
final stage but then delay the signing of the contracts.”
