Strictly Come Dancing's Karen Hauer 'splits from boyfriend' weeks before launch

Strictly Come Dancing star Karen Hauer has reportedly split from her boyfriend of two years David Webb, just weeks before the 2020 series launches.

The 38-year-old pro dancer had previously been married to her Strictly co-star Kevin Clifton, but they divorced in 2018.

According to The Sun, Karen told friends that she and David broke up last week but she insisted they are still on good terms.

The publication reports that opera singer David, 35, has now moved out of her London home where he has been living – despite talks of marriage just weeks ago.

A source told them: “Karen and David have quietly ended their relationship.

“It finished on good terms, they have a mutual respect for one another and there were no other parties involved – the relationship simple ran its course.”

They went on: “Karen has been able to throw herself back into preparing for the next series of Strictly and has told her friends she’s in a really good place.

“Being a part of the show is helping to take her mind off everything and she’s being supported by her co-stars, many of whom she counts as close mates.

“Karen feels at the top of her game and this is driving her on to pull out all the stops on this series. She can’t wait to get properly started.”

Venezuelan beauty Karen met David in late 2017 after she had split from Kevin, 37.

Karen and Kevin confirmed they were ending their three-year marriage in March of 2018.

At the time, Kevin said: “We’re still the best of friends – we’ve got a lot of love and respect for each other.”

Grimsby lad Kev is now dating his Strictly celeb partner from 2018, documentary maker and presenter Stacey Dooley, 33.

Strictly Come Dancing’s 2020 series will kick off in just a few weeks’ time, with a new batch of celebrities ready to hit the dance floor.

Among them are Jamie Laing, who had to drop out last year, boxer Nicola Adams, EastEnders babe Maisie Smith and The Wanted hunk Max George.
