Susanna Reid has confirmed her future of Good Morning Britain is up in the air due to the fact her contract is rip for renewal in November.
The GMB host let slip on Wednesday’s show that she will be sitting down with TV execs to hammer out a deal.
While it is seen as a given the brunette beauty will stay with ITV, Piers was keen to give her some advice on how to get a good deal.
The former newspaper editor joked that he liked to keep people hanging with the possibility that he’s ready to walk.
Earlier this year it was confirmed that Piers has resigned a new contract to keep him on Good Morning Britain until 2021.
Piers said in May: “I’ve just signed a new contract up for GMB until the end of next year.
“I love working with Susanna and the team – we’re a Ying Yang that works.
“If my style upsets people, don’t watch! Watch something else.
“Nobody’s forcing anyone to watch it. You’ve got a remote control in your hand, I really don’t understand what the problem is.”
Hitting back at those who accuse him of being too harsh on guests and bullish when it comes to interviews, Piers added to The Sun’s TV Magazine: “Ofcom ruled very heavily in my favour, which confirmed my belief that I’m just doing my job.

“The job of broadcasters, particularly during a crisis like this, is to challenge and ask questions.”
This week Good Morning Britain celebrated it’s best ever ratings.
Confirming the news via Instagram, Piers said: “BREAKING: Good Morning Britain hit a new all time ratings high yesterday.
“27.5% audience share. 1% higher than ever before.
“The more people attack or boycott us the more viewers we get. Keep going haters.”
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am
