The Chase's Jenny Ryan drops I'm A Celeb bombshell amid 2020 line-up speculation

The Chase ’s Jenny Ryan could be about to follow in her co-star Anne Hegerty’s footsteps, braving the highs and lows of the I’m A Celeb experience.

Taking to Twitter yesterday, the 38-year-old quiz expert discussed her “main reservations” in appearing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! – much to fans’ delight.

After ITV revealed the new season would be taking place in the UK, Jenny admitted it was a more attractive prospect than ever.

She said: “My main reservations about doing #ImACeleb have always been 1. The Spiders 2. The Snakes 3. The Heat, so this could be a big opportunity for ol’ Jenny.

“If it’s not basically a three-week long version of Most Haunted then the network is missing a trick.”

Taking to the comment section below, Jenny’s 77,700 followers went into overdrive, speculating over whether an I’m A Celeb appearance could be on the cards.

One said: “You’d be amazing wherever it was Jenny. You’re braver than you think though I’m with you with the Spiders!”

“#GoodLuck behind you all the way,” added a second.

And a third chimed: “Obvs you have taken advise off @anne_hegerty if you want to do it x.”

Her fellow The Chase star Anne proved a beloved contestant on the 2018 instalment of the hit jungle series, finishing in seventh place.

The line-up for the 2020 series has yet to be announced, however, snakes and spiders aren’t likely to make an appearance.

Yesterday it was revealed filming will take place in the UK, with hosts Ant and Dec leaving the Aussie jungle behind and heading to a ruined castle in the countryside.

Thankfully, the format will remain the same, with Bushtucker Trials and dramatic group challenges on the agenda.

“We announced last week that we were doing all we could to make the series, and I’m thrilled that we can bring the show to viewers, albeit not in the jungle,” ITV director of television Kevin Lygo said.

“We have a great team both on and off screen, and I know they will produce a hugely entertaining series.”

I’m a Celeb will return later this year on ITV.
