This Morning producer Martin Frizell is reportedly hoping to pursue another gig before he retires, leaving his role at ITV.
According to the Mail on Sunday, the 61-year-old producer, who works closely with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, is considering taking on “one last big job” before retirement.
Having run Loose Women in the past, the This Morning boss offers Holly and Phil direction on a day-to-day basis, coordinating the running of the show.
Without Martin at the helm of the flagship ITV daytime show, the show’s trademark style – with Holly and Phil cracking jokes and tackling sensitive issues in equal parts – could be updated.
A source told the publication: “Phil and Holly actually listen to Martin.

“Who knows what they’d do if he left?”
Daily Star Online has contacted This Morning for comment.
Holly and Phil paid tribute to their This Morning boss earlier this year, when he spent two weeks self-isolating at home after his wife, GMTV’s Fiona Phillips, tested positive for coronavirus.

Speaking to This Morning viewers, Phil said: “Martin our boss is in self-isolation at the moment because his wife has been poorly, so lots of love to them.
“We’re missing him enormously. I think he is missing us enormously. He’s never off the phone!”
Holly added: “I think he’s missing us more!”

Fiona, who shares two children with husband Martin, announced she had contracted coronavirus over Twitter, urging her followers not to worry.
She tweeted: “I am in bed with #coronvirusuk “It’s not a very pleasant bedfellow, but nothing more than sore throat, dry cough, headache & tiredness.
“As long as it stays that way….DON’T panic!”
Martin did not display any symptoms of the virus, but self-isolated for the appropriate length of time as a precaution.
