Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes are reported to be worried about their jobs following speculation they could face being given the axe from This Morning.
The husband and wife have been the face of the Friday show since 2006 and often step in to take over during school holidays when Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby take their annual leave.
Now, the pair, 60, are reportedly at risk of having their contracts terminated as part of a major shakeup at ITV.
It’s been reported by The Sun that an internal research group at ITV have now launched a poll to gather the thoughts on changing up the show’s presenters.

Speaking to the publication, an insider revealed: “Eamonn and Ruth are incredibly popular with viewers and loved across the board.
“No one wants to see them go. The show’s execs have some very tricky decisions. Eamonn fears he is basically too ‘pale, stale and male’, and, at 60, perhaps not in line with the youth drive broadcasters are after.”
The mole went on to say that one idea is to keep the pair as holiday cover but to completely ditch their Friday appearance.

It’s believed that former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Ore Oduba and This Morning regular step in host Rochelle Humes could replace Eamonn and Ruth.
But the source added that the move might not go down too well with regular viewers.
“Many of our viewers are older or retired, and rely on them [Ruth and Eamonn] to provide some cheer of a morning.”

It’s believed that big bosses at ITV are scared of a “Sue Barker-gate” incident after the former Question of Sport legend was axed by the BBC.
In July, ITV’s chief exec, Dame Carolyn McCall announced that there would be a “change in diversity and inclusion on screen and across ITV by creating more opportunities for those from Black, Asian, minority ethnic and other underrepresented groups”.
Daily Star Online has approached ITV for comment.
