Love Island Australia star Sophie Monk took her country by storm when she landed the presenter role on the hit show.
The show proved to be a huge hit and quickly secured rave reviews, with the TV starlet quickly becoming a household favourite Down Under.
With the UK version of the matchmaker show now delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, ITV2 is preparing to unleash Sophie Monk and Australia’s finest singletons onto our screens next week.
The blonde bombshell and her army of Aussie hopefuls will fill the void that should have been the seventh series of the British show.

Who is Sophie Monk?

Sophie Charlene Akland Monk is British born and lived in London before her parents fled for the Gold Coast when she was just two years old.
The 40-year-old bared an uncanny resemblance to Marilyn Monroe and was snapped up by Warner Bros. Movie where she imitated the Hollywood superstar.
It wasn’t until 1999, when Sophie was just 21 years old, that she got her first big TV break when she auditioned for Australian talent show, Popstars.

Sophie was cherry-picked on the show to join girl band Bardot, who went on to secure the number one spot in the Australian charts with their debut single Poison.
Although it wasn’t meant to be and the group parted ways in 2001, following the release of their second album Play It Like That.
Wanting to continue her singer career Sophie went solo, landing herself an additional chart topping single.

Sophie, who had originally set her heart on the big screen, didn’t actually strike up a movie opportunity until 2004.
Her biggest claim to fame was her role as Stacey in the film Click, starring alongside Adam Sandler and David Hasselhoff.
The stunning actress also bagged herself smaller roles in Date Movie and Spring Breakdown.
It wasn’t until 2015 that the stunning multitalented star decided to try her hand at reality TV instead, taking centre stage on the fourth series of Celebrity Apprentice Australia, taking the crown.
In 2017, she really hit the big time after she had taken up a role on the hit show The Bachelorette Australia, selecting Stu Laundy as her bachelor.
The pair sparked up a serious relationship following their exit from the programme but within just one year, they took to Instagram to announce their split.
After Sophie’s had earned herself huge reality success, she was later snapped up as a judge for Australia’s Got Talent’s for the forth series.
In December 2017, the blonde landed her dream job, stealing the limelight as the red hot Love Island Australia host.

Sophie is in a relationship with photographer Joshua Gross, and they have been dating for the last two years.
The pair seem to be going from strength to strength, with Sophie recently hinting marriage was on the cards, but they were “going with the flow”.
Before Gross, she dated Stu Laundy from October 2017, after choosing him as the winner of The Bachelorette, until she announced their split in January the next year.
She was also engaged to American guitarist Benji Madden, now married to Cameron Diaz, but they split in January 2008.
Love Island Australia will air on ITV2 on Monday 15 June.
