Alan Carr’s husband has shared a worrying pic of himself with a black eye after drinking relapse on Tuesday evening.
Paul Drayton took to Instagram to share the snap for his 10,000 followers, but quickly deleted it an hour later.
Now comedian Alan has revealed how Paul got in his injury, confirming that that he was not responsible for it after Paul responded to a comment from a fan saying: “We had a bad row.”
Alan, 45, said that his 49-year-old husband had begun drinking again while he was away filming and when he returned he found Paul covered bruises and scratches.

Paul went to rehab after they were married in 2018, but he “fell off the wagon” while Alan was away and now is seeking help.
Opening up to The Sun, Alan said: “While I was away filming on location the past few weeks, Paul fell off the wagon and started drinking again.
“When I arrived back home from Wales, Paul was covered in scratches and bruises from a drinking binge.

“We are now working together to get the help he needs to get better which is our number one priority right now.“
This is not the first time Paul has worried his pals, after he shared a photo of himself with vomit on his t-shirt earlier this week.
Captioning the concerning snap, Paul wrote: “This is what alcoholism does to you. My gorgeous husband took this pic.”

His followers raced to the comments to share messages of support and well wishes.
Former Countdown star Carol Vorderman commented: “We love you Paul.”
While former EastEnders star Tamzin Outhwaite wrote: “When was this? Are you OK?”
One worried fan said: “Paul, hope you’re okay. You get can through this. We all love and adore you so much.”
Alan and Paul have been together for over 18 years and tied the knot in 2018 at a stunning ceremony in LA at singer Adele’s mansion.
