Amanda Holden flashes 'low cut' top as she vows to cover up after turning 50

Piers Morgan took a swipe at Amanda Holden’s Instagram account during an appearance on Heart FM on Friday morning, making the dig while wishing her a happy birthday.

The radio presenter, who will turn 50 on Tuesday, February 16, celebrated the milestone birthday in the studio with her co-star Jamie Theakston.

Amanda was in for a treat when her former Britain’s Got Talent colleague Piers Morgan joined the show, sharing a tribute to the birthday girl.

However, while on the show, Piers made a quip about Amanda’s risqué modelling snaps during the lockdown, which has seen her pose topless in a hot tub and take the bins out in a ballgown for the sake of entertainment.

Poking fun, Piers remarked: “I am loving your work in this pandemic, Amanda Holden. A, it’s lovely to see you with some clothes on today.”

Amanda took the quip on the chin, and angled the camera to her bust, showing off the neckline of her white birthday gown.

“It’s low-cut though, look,” she exclaimed.

Piers went on to outline some of Amanda’s most outrageous lockdown photoshoots, adding they had been “moments of joy in all this misery”.

The outspoken ITV star finished: “So please, continue being you.”

Amanda assured Piers her top was “low cut” as they joked about her Instagram account

Marking her birthday, Amanda joked: “Maybe now I’m 50 I should put my clothes on Piers, maybe.”

The GMB presenter then claimed he’d make an “exception” for Amanda, as she thanked him for making the effort to send her a birthday message.

Earlier in the conversation, Piers and Amanda reflected on their years spent judging Britain’s Got Talent together, joining Simon Cowell on the panel back in 2007.

Piers said: “I remembered this the other day actually. After long, gruelling days filming in Newcastle, Manchester or wherever it may be.

“We all head down the bar, Ant, Dec, Stephen Mulhern, you, and whoever the guest judge happened to be.

“Some lasted longer than others. Louis Walsh got parachuted in for about an hour I remember once. Then we got stuck in with some fine wine.”

While Amanda has remained on the show since its inception, Piers left the judging panel after series four, with Alesha Dixon and David Williams taking his place for the seasons to come.

Hyping his wine expertise, Piers added: “I think I educated all of you in your wine.”
