Tipping Point host Ben Shephard was forced to tell a player how to drop their counters as she kept messing up her timing.
The presenter had to pause his show so that he could step in and give her tips as he saw her struggling with the counters.
Monday’s show (November 15) saw a new batch of hopefuls enter the ITV studio in the hopes of taking home a hefty cash prize from the coin-pushing machine.
This week, it was Emma, Chay, Colette and Dan going head-to-head as they demonstrated their skills in general knowledge.
However, the popular quiz show isn’t just about answering questions, and contestants have to face the notoriously tough coin-pusher machine.
The quizzers have to knock off as many counters as they can by releasing the coins that they’ve won.
However, Colette seemed to struggle with the arcade machine more than the others.
At one point, things got so bad that Ben had to give her hints on how to release her counters.
Colette had shown that she was an impressive quizzer, and she got off to a great start in the opening rounds.
She sailed through to the final round as she saw off her fellow competitors Emma and Chay, before knocking out Dan in the penultimate round.
However, she proceeded to get three “riders” in a row in the final round.
Riders occur when the player’s counters fall on top of another counter, meaning they can’t push any other counters off of the shelf.
When she got her third rider, Ben himself cried out: “Oh no, oh Colette! Three counters and three riders. It’s really harsh.”
Fans were getting irritated on Twitter, with many claiming that Colette’s timing was poor.
One fan said: “Even with umpteen hints from Ben, Collette’s timing was a real pain to watch.”
A second wrote: “Poor Little Ben’s patience being sorely tested by a contestant who wilfully messed up her timing repeatedly.”
A third said: “I mean Ben’s virtually telling her when to drop it and she can’t manage it. Driving me insane”
A fourth said: “Ben is losing his patience here, he is even telling her how to bloody play”
A fifth added: “Ben getting frustrated with this womans timing. Hasn’t she watched it before fgs”
Sadly for Colette, she wasn’t able to bag the jackpot counter, but she did walk away with just over £3,100.
