Coronation Street star Beverley Callard celebrates her 64th birthday today (March 28).
And she’s keen to prove age is just a number, as the soap legend certainly knows how to keep things red-hot in the bedroom department.
Bev, who played iconic Corrie character Liz McDonald across four decades, has never been shy when it comes to her steamy secrets.
But even the most laid back viewers were left stunned when she famously claimed to the nation that her husband, Jon McEwan, was a “mega sh*g” while starring on last year’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
It was one of the standout moments of the ITV show but Bev later admitted “she wanted to die” after the show aired, but the respected actress has since embraced the sexy slip of the tongue, often jokingly referring to her husband by the bold term in interviews ever since leaving the castle.
The mum-of-two is surprisingly more toned-down with her personal snaps on her Instagram page, but she broke the mould on Valentine’s Day by posting a racy photo wearing sexy black stockings and black boots with chains on.
Away from the Weatherfield cobbles, Bev was happy to share the saucy snap as her fans were treated to her sexy attire.
“Date night going well!” beamed Bev.
The actress was teased endlessly by her former I’m A Celeb campmates, who were quick to poke fun about her stockings snap.
Vernon Kay, who was in the Welsh castle with her, teased: “I think we all know what they’ll be doing.”
Former EastEnders actor Shane Ritchie, also on the show, joked: “She’ll be on her way to Spain now.”
After Bev left the ITV show, Lorraine Kelly told her: “We talked to your lovely husband yesterday and I think he’s quietly very happy of his nickname, he’s quite enjoying the attention.”
Fourth-husband Jon famously proposed to a shocked Bev on a Spanish beach – and they married in 2010.
And Bev credits John for being her knight in shining armour having saved her from suicide after she was overwhelmed by mental health troubles.
She stressed: “He’s [Jon] my soulmate and my best friend. He’s completely and utterly the love of my life.”
The pair met on a blind date – but Bev amazingly stood him up on the first occasion.
A self-confessed father, biker, drummer, ex-army, recording studio owner – according to his own Twitter account – Jon has been by Bev’s side now for over a decade.
But Bev admits she wasn’t taken by Jon when they first met.
“When I saw Jon with his shaved head and gold tooth I wasn’t impressed,” she admitted.

“I really didn’t want to go because at the time I thought all men were b******s and I wanted to stay single forever,” she told OK! Magazine.
“We organised one date and I chickened out and stood him up. Then, on the second attempt, I turned up and saw he had a shaved head, a gold tooth and was covered in tattoos and I thought, what am I doing?!”
“But within minutes we were chatting away.
“We went on to sit together at dinner and we got on like a house on fire.”
Jon popped the question in May 2010 – and it was only five months later that they got married at Hazlewood Castle Hotel, West Yorkshire.
Bev dazzled in a stunning strapless ivory wedding dress and matching lace veil.
And to mark the occasion, the couple even got tattoos of their wedding date.
Away from her saucy sex life, Bev has established herself as Corrie royalty having first appeared in the show as Liz McDonald in 1989.
The successful actress also had a decade-long innings in hit comedy Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps between 2001 and 2011.
But some fans might be surprised to learn that Bev actually made her television debut in Emmerdale in 1983.
She played a character called Angie Richards before eventually finding her spiritual home on the cobbles rather than the Yorkshire Dales.
In Corrie, Bev mastered all-manner of gripping storylines, including being abused, playing a kidnap victim and an unfaithful wife.
But in real life the actress is happier than ever as she left Weatherfield for the last time.
The news of Bev quitting the long-running series broke in November last year and it seems it was not a decision the star made lightly.
“There’s very little work in our industry for women over 50, but I’m 62 and recently I was doing three jobs at once,” she told OK! Magazine at the time.
“It made me realise how I was privileged to have the opportunity to do so when so many women my age no longer get the chance.”
She continued: “I’m sick of ageism in the industry.
“Although I’ve had to leave the safety net of being in Coronation Street to do this, I’m hoping that ageist bosses, of which there are many, take note of how successful this show is and it starts the ball rolling on helping other women my age, get the roles they still deserve.”
