Linda Torres who appeared on VH1’s Big Ang has died after contracting coronavirus.
The friendly accomplice of the late Big Ang, who passed away five years ago after a throat cancer diagnosis, has died, her sister told TMZ.
The 67-year-old had reportedly passed away after battling for her life on a ventilator not long after finding out she tested positive for Covid-19.
Ang’s sister, Janine Detore, told TMZ of the sad news, sharing that Linda passed away this week at Staten Island University Hospital.
It is not known how long after contracting Covid the star died, but Linda was also battling breast cancer and had recently undergone surgery to implant a chemo port.
While she was recuperating from the procedure, it’s believed she developed a fever.
Her daughters brought her back to hospital thinking she had an infection related to the implant.
But when returning to the hospital, based in New York, she tested positive for Covid-19.
Her health then slowly declined, reports TMZ.
Torres appeared on Mob Wives alongside Ang in cameo roles and was made a part of the series spinoff which ran for one season in 2012.

Big Ang, a breakout star from Mob Wives – a show about women with mob-related ties – became a famous personality, known for her raspy voice and large bust.
She was so popular that she was given her own show and sadly passed away at the age of 55 in 2016.
Her death came a year after a cancerous tumour had been found in her throat, and months later cancer spread to her brain and lungs.
Torres paid a tribute to her on the anniversary of her passing.
Last year she wrote: “Life is not the same without you here. I’m broken-hearted I love u Ang til we are all together again rest easy,’ and Torres’ last social media post came in the form of a January 21 graphic that insinuated struggle.
“God never sends you into a situation alone. God goes before you, he stands beside you, he walks behind you. Whatever situation you have right now be confident. God is with you.”
