Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor splits from Pete Davidson after whirlwind romance

Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor has reportedly split from US comedian Pete Davidson after five months together.

The romance is said to have fizzled after their conflicting work schedules kept them apart.

Sparks flew between the pair earlier this year while the romance was confirmed in February with Phoebe taking Pete home to Manchester to meet her Coronation Street actress mum Sally Dynevor.

The couple were seen last month enjoying a date at Wimbledon where paparazzi snapped them kissing and cuddling while watching the tennis.

But only weeks later and the pair have called it quits, according to sources close to them.

Speaking to The Sun an insider said: “Pete and Phoebe’s romance was a real whirlwind and from the start they were both totally committed. But as time has passed, it’s become increasingly obvious it is going to be difficult to make this work.”

They revealed that the relationship was affected by Phoebe being busy filming the second season of Bridgerton in the UK while Pete is hard at work across the pond on Saturday Night Live.

Their blossoming romance hit another snag when Pete signed up to star in new film, Meet Cute, opposite The Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco.

The source added that the travel restrictions imposed by the coronavirus pandemic have also impeded their long-distance relationship.

They said: “People can’t just jump on planes and jet around the world when they want to. It has made everything more difficult. It was pretty telling when Phoebe headed to Croatia with her mates this week rather than going to see Pete in America.

“It was wild while it lasted and they both really care for each other. But the distance has put a strain on them.

“Their mates think they make a great couple but the distance has made it completely unworkable. They had fun and will remain close but unless something drastic changes their relationship won’t recover,” the source added.

It marks another public breakup for star Pete.

Pete was previously engaged to Ariana Grande until October 2018, famously referenced in Ariana’s song Thank U, Next with the lyric: “Even almost got married, and for Pete, I’m so thankful.”

He also previously dated actress Kate Beckinsale in 2019, who was 20 years his senior, Once Upon A Time actress Margaret Qualley and model Kaia Gerber.
