Bridgerton's Phoebe Dynevor unrecognisable as Waterloo Road teen Siobhan Mailey

Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor looks completely different in clips of her starring in Waterloo Road years ago.

The 25-year-old actress has shot to fame playing the leading role of Daphne Bridgerton in the Netflix hit.

However, viewers may have seen her act in a programme that’s worlds away from the period drama.

Her first big television role was as Siobhan Mailey in BBC’s Waterloo Road, a popular high-school drama set in a comprehensive school.

Phoebe starred in the from 2009 until 2010 and acted in the series alongside Jenna Coleman who played Lindsay James.

Coleman currently plays Marie-Andree Leclerc in new BBC drama The Serpent, and is also known for starring in ITV’s Victoria and Doctor Who.

Phoebe’s Bridgerton co-star Rege-Jean Page, who plays her on-screen lover Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings, was also in Waterloo Road.

He played Guy Braxton in the hit BBC drama.

Fans were gobsmacked as they saw Phoebe in the blast from the past as they took to Twitter to share their surprise.

Another wrote: “How is it possible these two, @regejean and Phoebe Dynevor, were in Waterloo Road.”

“Ohhh I was wondering why the actress that played Daphne was so familiar and it’s because Phoebe Dynevor was on Waterloo Road the same time Jenna Coleman was a.k.a. the last season I watched”, added a third.

Phoebe is the daughter of Sally Dynevor, who is also a famous actress.

She plays the iconic Sally Webster in ITV soap, Coronation Street.
