Britney Spears fans were stunned when they found the pop star singing in her “real” low voice in an unearthed audition clip.
The Gimme More singer has recently spoken out about her conservatorship in court as she laid out personal and intimate details of her life over the past 13 years.
Thousands of Britney’s fans joined the virtual campaign of #FreeBritney and #SaveBritney to show support and some came across archived footage of the young songstress singing.
While Britney is known for her “baby” high-pitched voice, fans were shocked when they heard her singing in a lower vocal range.
A TikTok account dedicated to conspiracies and true crimes shows young Britney singing a rendition of Madonna’s “Like A Prayer” in 2001.

The caption wrote: “Britney’s real voice before they made her sing and talk with a baby voice for years.”
Some viewers pointed out that the singer’s voice was different in her first album, with others comparing her voice to Christina Aguilera’s iconic soulful voice.
One said: “Her voice is so beautiful here. She looks so happy there, it’s so sad.”
Another commented: “Her voice in the first album was so different. She had so much potential but that’s what Christina chose to do and we know how that turned out.”

Her voice was clearly different and it could be traced back to an even older clip when she was dancing alongside fellow Disney star Justin Timberlake.
The then teenager again sounded like she had a much deeper voice.
Shortly after the shocking testimony on Wednesday, Britney apologised to her fans on Instagram for pretending to be okay amid her conservatorship battle.
She said she was embarrassed to share the truth, adding: “I believe as people we all want the fairy tale life and by the way I’ve posted … my life seems to look and be pretty amazing … I think that’s what we all strive for!!!!”
