Charlotte Church’s biological father has died, aged 56, after contracting coronavirus which saw being admitted to hospital shortly before Christmas.
It’s believed that Stephen Reed died at home in Vale of Glamorgan with his family beside him.
A post mortem examination was carried out for the Glamorgan Coroner but it’s reported that there will be no inquest as Reed died from natural causes.
Stephen had been estranged from his superstar daughter after he left Charlotte’s mum Maria when the Welsh singer was just two-years-old.
The 56-year-old had started a new life with his wife Alison, who he married 33-years-ago and has since started a new family, with the couple sharing sons Luke, 32, and Alex, 28.

MailOnline reports that Charlotte, 34, hadn’t made up with her biological dad before his death and he hadn’t met his grandchildren, Ruby, 13, and Dexter, 12.
Reed had made a public plea to his eldest child, as well as turning up at her home in South Wales.
In 2008, the former beekeeper said: “Please get in contact with me – I still love you.

“It upsets me very much that I’ve got a grandchild who I don’t know and another on the way, but what can I do?
“When I see photos of Ruby, I see a lot of myself in her, I’m a good dad. I think I would be a good grandparent, I don’t see what the problem is.”

The classical turned pop singer lived just 12 miles from her estranged father in a South Wales village, close to the private school that she runs.
Despite Reed’s pleas, Charlotte stayed close to her mum as well as her stepfather, James, who adopted the Crazy Chick singer just a year after Stephen had left them.
She had previously stated that she had desires of getting to know her biological dad or his new family, saying: “They are strangers to me. I don’t know if they are moral.
“Ignorance is bliss, I’m staying in my own ignorant bubble, right or wrong.”
