The court battle between Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy will resume on Friday after an attempt to settle the legal dispute previously failed.
The preliminary hearing will take place just hours before the England vs Scotland 2020 Euros match at Wembley kicks off.
While Coleen was seen at the England vs Croatia match with husband Wayne Rooney on their 13th wedding anniversary, it’s likely that Coleen will be unable to attend tomorrow’s match as the legal battle continues.
Rebekah is suing Coleen after her tweet in October 2019, which accused Rebekah’s Instagram account of leaking stories about her to The Sun.

Wife of Jamie Vardy Rebekah denied the claims, and claimed the stress of the accusation could cause her to miscarry her coming child.
Coleen came to her conclusion about the leaked stories after claiming that she would plant fake stories on her Instagram account, blocking everyone following her expect for Rebekah’s account, in an attempt to find out who was leaking them.
After a false story was reported, Coleen went public on Twitter with her findings, with fans quickly dubbing the case “Wagatha Christie”.
Lawyers for the pair appeared via video link in London’s High Court, with mention of the total cost of proceedings coming up to £897,000.
Coleen’s lawyer went on record as saying that Coleen considered the costs to be “grotesque” with Coleen paying £465,842 while Rebekah is paying 402,312 of the total.
Rebekah’s representation had said that while the two parties had attempted to resolve the case privately, it was unsuccessful, saying: “Unfortunately we are here today.”
Rebekah’s representative spoke about why the costs were “necessarily high” due to “extremely complex legal analysis” that required them to comb through media reports and social media posts to get to the bottom of the accusations.
Both parties are now set to revise their budgets before June 18 with a warning that if they cannot resolve the case it will go to trial before Easter of 2022.
Despite the legal case between their wives, both Jamie Vardy and Wayne Rooney are still on speaking terms, with Wayne supporting Jamie earlier this month after the announcement that Jamie would not be part of the England team for the Euros.
