Coronation Street Victoria Ekanoye welcomes 'miracle' baby boy with Jonny Lomas

Coronation Street star Victoria Ekanoye has welcomed her ‘miracle’ baby boy with her partner Jonny Lomas.

Victoria, who played Angie Appleton on the hit ITV soap, took to her official Instagram account to share the beautiful news of the arrival of her son.

The 38-year-old, who described her baby as a “miracle”, shared a video of her holding the little fella’s teeny hands.

Taking to the caption of the clip, Victoria wrote to her 23,000 followers: “Our prince, our love, our world, our miracle.”

She followed it up with the baby angel emoji.

With seconds fellow Corrie stars rushed to comments section to congratulate their co-star.

Bhavna Limbachia, who plays the character of Rana Habeeb, wrote: “Huge congratulations to you both. Hope you’re all well. Can’t wait to meet him xxx.”

Lucy Fallon, who portrays Bethany Platt, commented: “Congratulations guys! So pleased for you both.”

Brooke Vincent, who stars as Sophie Webster, gushed: “Omg congratulations.”

Victoria announced she was expecting her first child with boyfriend Jonny after a secret health battle back in November.

In a new interview with Hello! Magazine, mummy to be Victoria said: “We thought we would try next year.

“So when this pregnancy came along we were like: ‘It’s happening!’

“It did come as a bit of a surprise but it’s so unbelievably exciting.”

Victoria was diagnosed with the condition sickle cell anemia when she was 22 years ago but recently revealed she spent years hiding her pain from her mother.

She said: “We know friends that have miscarried and so we waited until we were 12 weeks before we even told our parents.

“Then, with my health condition, we wanted a little bit more security and stability in knowing that everything is okay with baby and with me.”

Speaking to BBC Sounds The Sista Collective, however, Victoria said she was experiencing bad pain but was worried her mum would pull her from her beloved sports.
