Corrie’s Harry Visinoni opens up about real girlfriend appearing for final scene

Coronation Street star Harry Visinoni said his real-life girlfriend Ellie Isaacs was left “distressed” after starring in the soap for his final scene.

Harry, who played Seb Franklin on the cobbles, was asked to bring Ellie on to set to star as Seb’s mum Abi Franklin’s hand double.

Ellie was brought onto set to abide by Covid safety measures and strict social distancing rules.

She starred as Abi’s hand as the mum broke down while saying an emotional goodbye to her son, who died after being attacked alongside soap girlfriend Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) by Corey Brent’s (Maximus Evans) gang.

“It’s quite funny actually, it was quite a good moment,” Harry opened up live on Lorraine on Monday. “They asked me to bring in my girlfriend to play Abi’s hand in the scenes I had on Friday, so that is my girlfriend’s hand.

“It was really nice because obviously she got to see what I do before I left, and she features in my last ever scene on the Street.”

Lorraine chipped in: “That’s true! It might just be her hand but she’s there for a very important [scene].”

“It’s big stuff!” Harry said.

Lorraine continued to quiz the actor on how it felt for Ellie to see him in the aftermath of the attack.

“That must have been really hard for her to watch you, who she loves, in a hospital bed,” she said. “Because the makeup was so incredible! You looked dreadful, if you don’t mind me saying – so that must be hard for her as well.”

“Yeah, she was quite distressed,” Harry admitted.

Ellie and Harry have been together since February last year, but only confirmed their romance in July 2020.

Harry celebrated the pair’s one-year anniversary with a sweet Instagram post of them together, gazing into each other’s eyes.

“1 year,” he captioned the snap, with a love-heart emoji.

Harry went on to tease a potential reality show appearance in his future.

When quizzed by Lorraine whether he would follow in his ice dancer mum’s footsteps and opt for a stint on Dancing on Ice, he clearly wasn’t convinced.

“Your mum is a fantastic ice skater – she was a pro,” Lorraine said. “Does that mean that Dancing on Ice might come calling? Have you inherited any of that ability?”

“I don’t know!” Harry laughed. “I’m not sure. I can [skate].”

“I think you’d be great!” the host encouraged. “Do you fancy any of those funny things, like being in the jungle and eating weird things?”

“I’m not sure, we’ll see. Maybe,” he acquiesced.

But he’d be no stranger to creepy crawlies, as he opened up about the time a snake slithered up his toilet and sat itself down on the seat – complete with a terrifying video clip.

“It’s not an urban myth, it happens,” Harry said. “Most confusing moment of my life, I was just brushing my teeth and I noticed this long patterned thing on the back of the toilet.

“It took me a good ten seconds of staring at it thinking ‘What is that?’ and then it moved and I was like ‘That is definitely a snake!'”

He admitted: “Panic set in immediately.”

But Harry said the snake has thankfully since been rehomed.
