Coronation Street and Hear’Say star Kym Marsh has married her long-term partner, army major Scott Ratcliff, and has now opened up the sweet moment that her dad walked her down the aisle.
The Coronation Street star’s dad has terminal prostate cancer, but got to walk her down the aisle, which left onlookers in tears.
Speaking to OK! Magazine after her special day and romantic nuptials, she detailed the wedding day to the publication.
Kym said: “There were tears when he walked me down the aisle and when I gave him a kiss as he sat down – there were lots of tears surrounding my dad that day.”

She told the publication that she wanted him to walk her down the aisle, although she didn’t expect him to manage the entire length.
Much to Kym’s surprise and joy, her dad managed to walk her all the way to the altar.
The former Hear’Say singer had previously revealed that it was a dream of hers for her dad to walk her down the aisle and give her away.
In a previous interview she said: “My mum and dad absolutely adore Scott, they think he’s wonderful. This [wedding] is a bit of good news, because dad’s not too well, but responding well to his latest treatment.
“They can’t cure him, but their hope is that it slows everything down and we get some good time with him. I think the main thing is taking the pain away. He’s being taken care of and he doesn’t let things get him down too much.”
Kym explained to OK! Magazine, that she rode in the car with her dad as they made their way to their lavish wedding venue at Sandhurst, explaining how she held his hand and chatted with him en route.

She told the publication: “He said it’s the wedding they couldn’t wait for as they adore Scott, and he was happy to give me away to him.”
Kym then went on to reveal that her father received a standing ovation before he even begun his speech, because of the strength it took him.
“There was so much respect for him in the room,” she explained.
The former Corrie star said that he told her how beautiful she looked, before he gave her away to long-term partner Scott.
