Denise Van Outen jokes she'll 'get her cherries out' on Good Morning Britain

Denise Van Outen left Good Morning Britain’s guest presenter Alastair Campbell red faced on Wednesday during her live TV appearance.

The blonde bombshell joined Susanna Reid and Alastair live on Good Morning when she made a tongue-in-cheek gag about her assets.

Rounding off the show, Susanna turned to Denise saying: “Good luck with everything, lovely to see you.”

Alastair then added: “This is my last morning.

“I have really enjoyed it and I do think ITV have been brilliant for mental health.”

Beaming away, Denise was keen to praise the journalist turned political spin-doctor gushing: “I have loved catching you this week it has been lovely.”

Clearly pleased with the compliment, Alastair replied: “Oh have you, that’s nice.

“My daughter has just text and said can she have your jumper.”

Never one to shy away from a cheeky joke, Denise looked down at her her pale pink top which featured red cherries on the front.

Smirking she replied: “I won’t take it off now or you will see a different set of cherries underneath.”

The comment left Alastair blushing while Susanna fell about in hysterics.

Referencing Denise’s 90s morning show, she chuckled: “Oh it all got very Big Breakfast.”

Earlier on the programme Denise shut down rumours that she was planned on brining back the hit show for it’s 30th anniversary.

The show ran from 1992 until March 2002.

Asked about possible plans, she replied: “It is just that, it’s a rumour.

“I think this has come from me reconnecting with Johnny [Vaughan] over the last year – we’ve been doing a lot of chatting.

‘We never really had a major fall out, our careers went on different paths, we’ve reconnected.

“I’ve got a lot of love for Johnny, always have and we’ve got a very similar humour.

“Lockdown did a lot of things for a lot of friendships and people reconnecting and some people, their relationship went to dust.

“We were that lucky partnership that got back in touch. I would love to work with him again, we both said we’d like to do something… we have started conversations.”
