Doc Martin star Caroline Catz, who met her EastEnders baddie husband on the set of The Bill, is leaving after ten series.

Luckily she wasn’t put off by his terrible on-screen reputation for causing trouble.

This TV star power couple includes a notorious Albert Square villain.

Caroline Catz, real name is Caroline Caplan, has played Louisa Glasson on ITV’s Doc Martin for 17 years .

Beginning in 2004, she’s kept her role for nine seasons of the medical comedy-drama series.

Alongside lead actor and on-screen husband Martin Clunes, she has also played many other parts in DCI Banks, Agatha Christie’s Marple, and BBC One sitcom I Want My Wife Back between series.

The cast announced that 2021 will mark the tenth and last ever season of Doc Martin, meaning Caroline will soon be moving on.

Before starring on Doc Martin, Caroline played Rosie Fox in The Bill from 1998-2000.

On set she met her husband Michael Higgs, who played PC Eddie Santini over the same two year period.

The pair hit it off, started dating and got married in 2007.

Together they now have two kids; Sonny, 20, and Honour, 15.

EastEnders fans will remember Michael from his time in Walford as the villainous Andy Hunter.

Michael played the role of Andy from 2003 until 2005, as the criminal kingpin of Albert Square he clashed with almost everyone in East London.

Andy caused plenty of terror; from blackmail, betrayal, violence and intimidation.

His horrible reign ended around the same time of the soap’s 20th anniversary episode, when Johnny Allen showed who was top dog in Walford.

Andy’s plan to con Johnny out of £750,000 fell apart when Johnny decided to throw Andy off a motorway bridge, thus killing his character and ending Michael’s run on the show

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8.05pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.35pm on BBC.
