EastEnders viewers were left reeling after Thursday night’s episode showed Amy Mitchell stop Bailey Barker from returning home.
Bailey had been missing and living on the streets – yet, Amy discouraged her from going home when she spotted the young girl.
The missing girl had just escaped a homeless woman robbing her and realised she ought to go home – when she bumped into Amy.
Despite knowing how worried Bailey’s family was, Amy lied to Bailey – leading the poor girl to think her family were angry.
Instead of helping Bailey, Amy shouted “Where have you been?” – before going on to say “you’re in so much trouble. The police are looking for you. Your dad and Karen are furious.”

“I’ve got to get home,” said Bailey.
“Are you stupid – that’s the worst thing you can do,” said Amy.
“You’ve got to wait for them to stop being angry. You want them happy you’re home, don’t you?”

In a manipulative turn, Amy went on to say: “Wait for it all to die down. I know somewhere you can go. But if I help you – you owe me. Fancy some fish and chips?”
Sadly, poor Bailey believed the conniving child and went with her – leaving fans fuming.
Twitter kicked off, with one user writing: “Amy totally putting Bailey off going home, such a shame #EastEnders”.
