Emerging actor Daniel Mickelson has died aged 23, with his celebrity friends penning heartfelt tributes to his life and legacy.
The screen star was an up-and-coming actor in America, having been cast in notable roles such as the horror film The Killer Clown Meets the Candy Man and 2019’s TV series Mani.
Mickelson’s cause of death has yet to be announced.
His younger sister, Meredith Mickelson, confirmed his tragic death on Monday evening, announcing the budding actor died on Sunday, July 4.
“My heart is shattered & to write this feels so wrong and I don’t even know what to say. Yesterday I lost my brother, best friend & the other half of my heart,” she said.

“There wasn’t a person I loved more on this earth. there’s no words that can do him justice that I could write. to know him was to love him.
“He was the happiest brightest smiley most sunshine human to exist and I’m so happy God chose me to be his sister for his whole amazing life.”
Daniel’s most recent Instagram posts show him holidaying in Hawaii, with his final upload showing him smiling and laughing in a woodland stream.

After news of his death broke, some of Hollywood’s brightest young stars shared poignant statements online, with the likes of model Kaia Gerber and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son Patrick sharing their grief.
Kaia, whose parents are model Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, was particularly close to the late actor, as she shared a photograph from their friendship over the years.
She said: “I remember that time we sat on the couch and spent the whole day coming up with our own secret language that we continued to speak every time we saw each other.
“I wish we could go back there. I wish we were still talking in sentences that probably annoyed everyone else but made us crack up every time.”

She continued: “I wish I was still sitting on my bathroom floor FaceTiming you, because that was the only place I had wifi and I never wanted to miss a call from you. Thank you for being the reason for so much laughter and happiness in the world.”
The post finished: “It won’t be the same without you here. I love you Daniel.”
Fellow actor Patrick Schwarzenegger sent a message to the Mickelson family, writing: “Praying for you.”
Paris Hilton similarly shared her condolences, adding: “So sad to hear this. RIP.”
