Eminem serves fans as he opens new restaurant Mom's Spaghetti in hometown

Eminem has served his loyal fans when they turned up to the opening of his new eatery Mom’s Spaghetti Restaurant.

The popular rapper took orders from customers as he stood in the takeaway window of the restaurant.

Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, could be seen handing out a pot of spaghetti as they walked by.

Fans of the new restaurant could pay $9 for an order of spaghetti or pay $12 or $14 to get meatballs or vegan balls added to the dish.

And it already seems to have proved extremely popular as there were have been hundreds of people spotted queuing to get their taste of Mom’s Spaghetti.

At one point a woman even burst into tears when she got to meet and hug the rapper himself.

Another fan even uploaded a picture with the rapper and his food order.

Fan Brendan Linden uploaded the photo alongside the caption: “Ready to die now”.

It was only announced last week that the rapper chose his hometown of Detroit to launch his first official restaurant.

The name ‘Mom’s Spaghetti’ comes from a lyric in his 2002 track ‘Lose Yourself.’

In the lyrics, Eminem raps, “His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy / There’s vomit on his sweater already, mom’s spaghetti.”

In a 30-second commercial for the new restaurant opening it showed the rapper bizarrely throwing up out of a Chinese takeout container with the branding of ‘Mom’s Spaghetti’ across it.

Mom’s Spaghetti is part of a partnership with Union Joints restaurant group who has previously worked with Eminem and his pop-up restaurants.

The rapper’s manager Paul Rosenberg said in a statement: “We’ve had a lot of fun putting this project together with the folks at Union Joints, and the response from fans has been overwhelmingly positive.

“The previous pop-ups were really a test for us to determine whether there was enthusiasm for a regularly-occurring Mom’s Spaghetti spot that would be open all year long.

“We are really pleased to announce the arrival of the walk-up restaurant and adjacent upstairs store, called The Trailer, where fans can experience a uniquely-curated environment and obtain merch and other items from Eminem and his new pasta operation.”
