Emmerdale fans baffled by hair and makeup blunder as Harriet finally resurfaces

Emmerdale fans were left confused as Harriet Finch’s (played by Katherine Dow Blyton) storyline took a huge turn and she left the basement during tonight’s episode.

The vicar has been suffering with her faith and guilt for weeks on the ITV soap after she buried a man who attacked her in the village, with Dawn (Olivia Bromley) and Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) also in the know.

With things becoming too much, Harriet decided to remove herself from normal day-to-day life and exile herself to Dawn’s cellar in secret.

But after Dawn found out what had been going on and decided to turn herself in to the police to save her surrogate mother, Harriet couldn’t bear listening to her tears and decided to return once and for all.

But eagle-eyed viewers were confused, as after weeks in the basement and seemingly no showers or changes of clothes, they couldn’t understand why Harriet still looked so good.

Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: “So Harriet surfaces from the cellar with hair pristine and fresh clothes…. #emmerdale.”

“Seriously she doesn’t look like she’s been down there all this time… #emmerdale,” another frustrated fan shared.

A third wondered: “What no sign of agoraphobia Harriet? Just comes out large as life #emmerdale.”

While a fourth also noticed: “#Emmerdale noone seems to have noticed Harriet’s been off the radar for weeks.”

Others were feeling queasy as Harriet entered the light of day once more, as it reminded them just how long it had been since she’d freshened up.

“I bet Harriet, f*****g stinks! #Emmerdale,” one person declared.

Another asked: “Has Harriet even showered #Emmerdale,” followed by one viewer posting a series of puking emojis: “Has Harriet showered yet? #Emmerdale.”

Also during tonight’s instalment, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham may have gotten herself in too deep with Kim Tate (Claire King) at Home Farm.

In a desperate attempt to prove her loyalty and stay in Kim’s inner circle, the youngster promised to “get rid” of Jamie Tate’s ex-wife Andrea.

Kim questioned whether her new prodigy had the “stomach” for it, but fans will have to wait and see how far Gabby will go to cling to the evil millionaire.

Emmerdale continues tomorrow at 7pm on ITV.
