Actor Deezer D has died aged 55, according to reports.
The star, who was known for his portrayal of Nurse Malik Magrath on the hit series ER, was discovered at his Los Angeles home on Thursday morning.
No cause of death has been determined as of yet, but his brother Marshawn is believed to have told American publications that he believes Deezer had suffered a heart attack.
The actor whose real name was Dearon Thompson underwent heart surgery in 2009, going under the knife for six hours to replace his aorta as well as a problem with a heart valve, reports TMZ.

Deezer starred in almost 200 episodes of ER between the first season in 1994 and bowed out during the fifteenth season in 2009.
The Los Angeles native has also starred in films such as 1994s Fear of a Black Hat and the 1993 American comedy film CB4 alongside Phil Hartman.
He also ventured into the music industry, with his latest album Delayed, But Not Denied, being released in August 2008, following his previous records, Unpredictable (2002) and Living Up in a Down World (1999).

Deezer sought work as a motivational speaker, as well as performing in the Christian and underground hip-hop communities across Los Angeles.
Since his death, fans have flocked to social media to pay tribute to the late actor and musician.
One heartbroken follower penned: “Deezer D, ER’s iconic Malik is dead,” alongside a crying emoji.
A second tweeted: “Loved Deezer D! So sad to hear this news. Praying for his family. Glad to know he is rejoicing with his Lord tonight.”
“I’m saddened to learn the sudden passing of my friend Deezer. He was a devoted Christian. Sending my prayers and condolences to his family. Especially his young son,” said Scott Baio.
“I remember him from the early seasons of ER. So sorry to hear this,” commented a fourth.
