Gino D'Acampo rips up cards and fumes over 'cold pizza' quip on Family Fortunes

The two families on popular ITV show Family Fortunes, the Jones and the Baker family, witnessed Gino D’Acampo fume in Sunday night’s episode.

In a question-round which saw the families answer which foods they can have hot or cold, they all piled in to give their answer.

One family agreed on pasta, which Gino appeared to give the green-light for in his professional opinion as he seemingly agreed, but to his shock, it wasn’t on the screen.

However, immediately after, someone answered cold pizza, which was the top answer among the five available, leaving the famous chef in complete shock.

Gino had to take a minute to regain himself as he ripped up his cue cards and threw them on the floor before yelling: “I don’t get that! I don’t get it!”

He said: “How can you have starchy cold pizza and not pasta?”

While the TV chef shared his frustration, leaving the two families chuckling at his reaction, fans took to Twitter to laugh along with him.

One user wrote: “Gino is losing his s**t on Family Fortunes and tearing up the question cards because of cold pizza.”

Another said: “Gino’s reaction to cold pizza [laughing emojis].”

A third person said: “Watching Family Fortunes and Gino D’Acampo had a fit at pizza being top for ‘food you can eat hot and cold’ and Gino you are my new favourite TV chef.”

Gino hosted the show in front of the two families, which ultimately saw the Baker family head right through to the final round.

Just last year Gino took over the hosting duties from Vernon Kay who had hosted Family Fortunes for 12 series on ITV from 2006 to 2015.

His new TV job has seen him receive a lot of positive reaction from fans, particularly after people had watched him for many years on various programmes, including This Morning.

Gino D’Acampo famously shares his completely honest thoughts on food combinations, with some of his most popular clips being shown on ITV’s This Morning.

The chef appears alongside Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on occasion as their TV chef, and he often has a lot to say to the two hosts.
