GMB Laura Tobin's weather report halted as Andi Peters hijacks forecast

Good Morning Britain weather forecaster Laura Tobin was reporting from National Trust property Ham House in London on Tuesday when she was hijacked by competition leader Andi Peters in an hilarious moment.

Normally in the studio, the TV star donned a lime yellow coat as she stood outside in the 17th Century house’s stunning gardens.

With the sun beating down, the star appeared to be enjoying reporting in the fresh air, when Andi walked down a garden path towards her and appeared to be jokily cutting in.

Confused, Laura wasn’t sure how to proceed and the pair had a moment where regular scheduling was paused.

Ben, 46, then took over to explain the situation for viewers as he joked: “It’s the competition and the weather coming together.”

Susanna laughed, as the studio hosts found presenter Andi’s entrance into the shot hilarious.

But 50-year-old Susanna was more concerned with the weather not being as potentially warm as she was hoping.

The UK is expected to experience a mini heatwave this week, but the star was concerned it wouldn’t last.

Also during GMB today, viewers were stunned when guest Dr Miriam Stoppard’s age was revealed to be 83, as many thought she was so much younger.

Susanna Reid and Ben Shepard welcomed the guest onto the ITV breakfast show today to discuss a topical issue with TV presenter Johnny Ball of whether over-70s should have restrictions on driving.

Due to the nature of the debate on age, both Ben and Susanna launched into their questioning of the guests by asking them how old they were.

Directly acknowledging the awkward topic, the hosts apologised for needing to be a “little bit rude”, as they discovered Dr Miriam was 83.

“I’m 84 in a month, and a few weeks ago I had my driving license renewed. I thought what are the DVLA doing?”

Dr Miriam was stunned that she would automatically have her licence renewed without any questions or tests to ensure she could still do so safely.

Good Morning Britain continues weekdays at 6am on ITV.
