Actor Harrison Ford has been injured during the rehearsals for Indiana Jones 5.
Sources told Deadline that the star, 78, hurt himself rehearsing a fight scene.
It’s not known how badly he is injured, but he has hurt his shoulder.
Director James Mangold will continue to shoot around him, as they decide on the correct treatment for Ford.
The film is set to be released July 29, 2022.
Production on Indiana Jones 5 started earlier this month in Pinewood Studios.
Disney has released a statement: “In the course of rehearsing for a fight scene, Harrison Ford sustained an injury involving his shoulder.”
“Production will continue while the appropriate course of treatment is evaluated, and the filming schedule will be reconfigured as needed in the coming weeks.”
Starring alongside Ford are Mads Mikkelsen, Fleabag star Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renée Wilson and Thomas Kretschmann.
Director James Mangold is best known for his work on Logan.
He is taking over from Steven Spielberg, however Spielberg will be a producer along with Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Simon Emanuel.
Fans will be thrilled that John Williams is also returning as composer.
He has worked on the score for every Indiana Jones film over the last 40 years including the famous theme tune.
This isn’t the first time Ford has injured himself on set.
His leg was broken by a hydraulic door in a freak accident on the set of the Millennium Falcon spaceship in 2014.
The incident took place when he was playing Han Solo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Indiana Jones 5 is due to be released almost 15 years after 2008’s “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.”
It’s been more than four decades since the first film, 1981’s famous “Raiders of the Lost Ark.”
