Harry and Meghan's romance 'could be turned into Netflix series', expert claims

Netflix are considering releasing a mini series on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s early romance, a royal commentator has claimed.

Harry and Meghan signed up to a reportedly lucrative deal with the streaming giants when they left the Royal Family in March last year.

But, while production of hit royal series The Crown has continued, fans are yet to see a release from the Sussexes on the platform.

Royal commentator Neil Sean has now suggested that a series might be commissioned on Harry and Meghan’s romance.

“A very good source out in California – the headquarters of Netflix, Harry and Meghan’s employers – tell me this…” Neil began, speaking on his YouTube channel.

“It appears that when The Crown actually does finish, they quite like the idea of looking at the very early romance of none other than their two employees, Harry and Meghan.

“Apparently Netflix wants to explore all avenues with Harry and Meghan and it could become something of a short mini-series.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed up to their deals with Netflix and Spotify under their charitable Archewell Foundation banner after they moved across the Atlantic.

On the couple’s website, two projects have been announced. This includes a “docu-series” about the Invictus Games, as well as an animated series titled ‘Pearl’, executive produced by David Furnish.

But with no releases forthcoming, the pair have continued to sign up to new projects, leaving some commentators to speculate that Meghan and Harry’s bosses are concerned about their workload.

And with the next series of The Crown not set for release until late next year, Neil claimed that rumours of a mini-series about Harry and Meghan are in the early stages.

“Quite what the real Harry and Meghan will think of this remains to be seen,” he continued.

“Quite what aspect and what take they would look at in the romance of Harry and Meghan remains to be seen, it’s very early stages.

“I’m now beginning to wonder, do you think to keep them [Harry and Meghan] on board, they might make them executive producers?

“People would watch it because they would, no doubt, be putting their story and their truth across.”

Daily Star has approached Netflix for comment.
