Fern Britton has appeared to back up her This Morning successor, Holly Willoughby, in her latest tweet claiming her ex-agent is trying to take a cut of her cash.
Taking to Twitter, Fern suggested that the agency she was formally with was trying to claim a percentage of her future earnings.
She tweeted: “”An ex agent is asking for 10% of any future earnings ….”
She later added: “Ps For clarity, this is NOT my literary agents who are beyond reproach in every way”.
Fern, who left This Morning in 2009, was referring to the YMU group who are also said to be in a legal dispute with Holly over a potential seven-figure payout.

Despite leaving the firm last year, the company is claiming they are still entitled to a cut of her future payments under a “sunset clause” which allows agents to collect on celebrities who have left them.
The sunset provisions would mean that YMU would get around 15% of new contracts Holly signs is she was with them when she originally started the gig.

The payout would therefore include a cut from Holly’s possible future contracts with This Morning and Dancing On Ice.
A source told The Sun: “No one wanted this to go legal but Holly won’t simply give away her hard-fought millions without a fight.”
“This is a sad finale to what was once a hugely successful partnership. But YMU seem unhappy she’s set up on her own and feel entitled to maximise a sunset provision to claim commission on the renewal of contracts.”

Fern also left YMU last year and is reportedly “shocked” at the firm’s attempts to take a cut of her future earnings.
A source close to her told The Sun : “Like Holly, Fern was shocked that she is expected to hand over large percentages of her deals to an old agency and felt empowered to speak out about it.
“She is supportive of Holly in what she is doing. Holly has been a real trailblazer in the industry and inspired many to make a stand. It could lead to a female powerhouse revolution.”
