Louise Minchin has become the fifth famous face to be kicked out of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2021.
Hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly entered camp to share the results of the latest public vote with the seven remaining contestants.
Former BBC Breakfast star Louise and Olympian Matty Lee found themselves in the bottom two and nervously awaited to find out their fate.
However, it was Louise who received the least amount of votes and was told to leave Gwrych Castle immediately.
As Louise spoke to Ant and Dec about her time on the show, viewers at home rushed to their keyboards to share their disappointment with the result.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “@louiseminchin so sad to see you leave the castle, we were team Louise all the way… next years adventure is @bbcstrictly well done.”
Another added: “Well done @louiseminchin really enjoyed your castle journey been wonderful seeing both you and @mrdanwalker off the sofa and having adventures while learning new skills way outside your comfort zones.”
A third person posted: “Louise has done so amazing looking after everyone in camp and conquered her fears. So proud of her. Can go away with your head held high @louiseminchin.”
While a fourth social media user said: “@louiseminchin you’ve been brilliant – I’ve never watched @imacelebrity before but thought I’d try it this time. Your empathy, strength and resilience have been amazing. @bbcstrictly next year…??
Other fans were glad to see Matty remain in camp for another day.
One I’m A Celebrity viewer wrote: “The thought of Matty leaving the castle breaks my heart i love him too much.”
A second person tweeted: “Glad Matty stayed.”
Another wrote: “Yes Matty.”
Music producer Naughty Boy was the fourth campmate to be evicted from the castle during Wednesday night’s show.
Former Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips, Paralympian Kadeena Cox and radio presenter Snoochie Shy were all voted off one by one earlier in the series.
This Morning legend Richard Madeley was forced to leave the show last month after falling ill inside in the castle.
The 65-year-old presenter was taken to hospital and therefore broke the show’s Covid-19 bubble and could not return to camp.
Six campmates remain but only one star can be voted King or Queen of the Castle.
The winner of the 2021 series will be revealed during Sunday’s night finale.
I’m A Celebrity continues Friday on ITV and ITV Hub at 9pm
