I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! fans were gobsmacked during the live final of the popular ITV reality show as Danny Miller endured his final challenging trial.
The Emmerdale star completed the Fill Your Face Bushtucker Trial in order the bring home three starters for the final meal with his fellow finalists.
For the trial, he was asked to sit in a throne while a bowl was placed over his head as a range of creepy crawlies dropped inside.
Over the course of 10 minutes, the actor was joined by a bucket full of mealworms, crickets and cockroaches amongst others as he passed the entire challenge and won himself a pint of lager and a bar of chocolate.
But throughout the challenge, viewers couldn’t help but compare the challenge to one of the games in a popular horror series.
For horror movie buffs, the unusual contraption bore a striking resemblance to one of the popular games in the horror film series Saw.
In the film series, the reverse bear trap is seen as one of the original traps the evil mastermind and often crops up throughout the countless instalments of the series.
And the similarity wasn’t lost on viewers as they took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the gruelling trial online.
One user penned: “What an awful trial Danny has had, the helmet thing looks like something they got off a Saw film set.”
Another agreed: “’Would you like to play a game?’ Some very Saw vibes from Danny’s final trial.”
A third chimed in with: “This is pure torture for @DannyBMiller. It’s like something from the #Saw films.”
Elsewhere, one fan of the show tweeted: “Anyone else think Danny’s trial looks like a trap from the saw movie?”
It comes after Frankie Bridge was announced as the final celebrity to be eliminated from the show as she came in third place on the reality TV show.
For her final trial, Frankie was tasked with waiting 10 minutes inside a small box in the dark which was gradually filled with up to 50 snakes.
As she battled one of her biggest fears, she successfully won a dessert for the group as well as a drink and one luxury item for her final night in the competition.
During her three-week stay, Frankie drank an entire glass of blended pigs anus and was known as Lady Drawbridge in the annual instalment of celebrity cyclone.
