Kevin Mathurin, who portrays vicar Charles Anderson on Emmerdale, loves giving fans a sneak peek inside his gorgeous London home here and there.
The 38-year-old shares the flash pad in the South East’s Lewisham with his partner Nikki Beatnik, their little boy Harley, and a couple of pups – oh, and not to mention stacks of vinyl.
When the actor isn’t caught up with filming his scenes for the beloved ITV soap, which were recently filled with mega-drama, he likes to kick back with the family and their canine pals at the stylish property.
Kevin, who first appeared in Yorkshire’s most famous fictional village in December 2020, previously had roles in a string of other titles including Doctors and Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
He’s also currently filming for an upcoming show called Chancers, which follows “3 lads who have a plan to make a lot of money in a short space of time”.
The man is a busy one, but still finds plenty of time to swing by Instagram with life and career updates, often giving his 3,500 followers a little peek inside his nest in the process.
The same goes for DJ Nikki, who regularly posts clips giving her own cheeky glances inside their colourful digs, which match the equally vivid togs they wear.
The couple first met briefly at Fashion Rocks with Kelis at the Albert Hall back in 2003, but didn’t become an item until nine years later when they were introduced for a second time at a Christmas party.
The rest, as they say, is history, and Daily Star takes a look inside their happy-ever-after…
Effortlessly cool
Kevin and Nikki’s fuss-free home is as effortlessly cool as they are themselves, clearly designed with both style and comfort in mind.
Guests enter through a pink front door and are welcomed by a groovy zigzag rug and eye-catching wallpaper.
The hallway leads into a cosy living space, painted in bold tones that work perfectly alongside sharp geometric patterns on soft furnishings.
But good taste doesn’t come at the cost of enjoyment here, as the family are often seen making the most of their space – doing yoga, baking cakes, and celebrating birthdays.
Netflix and chill
In the lounge, fans are met with a dark blue feature wall behind a giant telly (where proud six-year-old Harley can watch his dad on Emmerdale) sat on top of a stylish office-style cabinet.
It’s complemented by an Aztec-print rug and a teal armchair housing a yellow cushion stating ‘IT WAS ALL A DREAM’.
That’s not the only quirky cushion this lot have though, with many others featuring arty portraits or icons like rapper and record producer MF Doom.
Plentiful shelves are bursting with books, records, family photos and eclectic knick-knacks galore – there’s even a monkey lamp in there somewhere.
DJ Beatnik in da house
One end of the living space is a deep pink – similar to the front door – contrasted with classy oak floorboards.
That’s where fans will find trendy Nikki spinning the decks, beat-matching and transitioning between this track and that.
And it’s some serious equipment she’s got there – amateurs need not apply in this household!
Planes, trains and automobiles
In a lot of tasteful homes, all signs of messy kids are neatly tucked away, but that’s definitely not the case here.
Kevin and Nikki are obviously keen to make sure the space is as much Harley’s as it is theirs, and that’s why they display his artwork, including a splodgey painting on brown paper.
Toys like a plastic sword – fit for any mini swashbuckler – and a fun-looking ride-on train – all aboard, please – are dotted all over the show too.
