BBC Breakfast’sNaga Munchetty has been enjoying a much-needed break away in Scotland as she takes a mini-vacay away to her “happy place”.
The breakfast show’s viewers have been wondering she has been after she hasn’t turned up to her usual presenting segments on the programme, and eagle-eyed fans pieced together where she was hiding out.
Naga was spotted in Scotland following her mystery absence from the BBC morning show, as she enjoyed a luxury golfing trip.
Fans were relieved as her absence from the presenting seat has raised questions as to where she was this week.
But it’s a mystery no longer, as it turns out Naga is enjoying a golfing break in Scotland.
Fans found this out by trawling through social media and stumbling across a few retweets from Naga herself.
The Scottish golf course where she is currently staying, tweeted: “Great to see Naga Munchetty from the BBC playing on the Links today at Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Club.
“Great player with a 7 handicap too.
“We hope you have a great time in the Highlands of Scotland.”
Soon after, Naga also tweeted about her time away, writing: “My happy place. Have had a fabulous few days (never enough) Great golf, weather and laughing with friends. I will be back!”
This comes after the presenter found herself arguing with internet trolls after they celebrated the fact that she wasn’t on air.
One viewer tweeted: “Glad that BBC Breakfast doesn’t have @TVNaga01 on the sofa again.
“It’s a far more pleasant program without her snide and irritating comments.
“Long may the lack of @TVNaga01 on our screens continue.”
To which Naga sarcastically replied: “Ah Rob, thank goodness there’s someone else who is also ‘snide & irritating’ out there. Phew!
“Long may your own lack of pleasantness continue.”
Another user also decided to join in the debate, agreeing with the first user’s comments.
He said: “I and many others change channels when snide Naga is on. Agree with Rob.
“Whats worse if you turn the radio on, she’s there as well,” he continued, referring to her Radio 5 Live programme.
“Why on earth do BBC rate her? Well I know the answer….”
Naga then calmly responded: “Yet you follow me on Twitter, oh dear Tim…”
