Frida Andersson, model and partner to Jamie Redknapp, has appeared to confirm the couple’s upcoming baby via a new social media post.
News has been circling that the couple may be three months pregnant with their first baby as a pair.
Jamie has two children already, Beau, 12, and Charles, 16, from his marriage to Eternal singer Louise Redknapp.
After a flood of headlines discussing the potential baby, fans took to Instagram to offer congratulations for a yet unconfirmed bundle of joy.
Seeing the messages of support, Frida liked a handful of new comments on her latest photo from the weekend offering well wishes for the potential baby, even going as far as responding with prayer emojis to fans congratulating them.
Rather than making any official announcement, the pair more subtly accepted the well wishes and chose to remain quiet about their private lives.
One comment read: “Lovely news on your new baby. Congratulations to you both.”
Another said: “Congratulations on your new baby”
With Frida liking the post but keeping quiet, it’s uncertain if the happy couple will make any official announcement.
It’s understood that the footballer’s parents Harry and Sanda were already informed on the child on the way.
A source told The Sun: “Jamie and Frida are absolutely delighted.
“They’ve been virtually inseparable in lockdown, and their relationship has gone from strength to strength. The couple started telling their nearest and dearest last week.”
The insider added that while they are yet to speak publicly, Jamie isn’t keeping the happy news quiet amongst his friends.
“Jamie’s been telling pals he’s really excited to be a dad again — less excited about the sleepless nights, and nappy-changing. But both he and Frida will be brilliant, hands-on parents,” the source said.
Jamie and Frida became a pair after being introduced to each other through a mutual friend.
After a 19 year marriage with ex-wife Louise, Jamie has managed to remain on good terms with his ex-partner as they co-parent their children together.
Jamie recently gushed over Louise about how the new arrangement was going.
He told Hello! Magazine: “I’m very fortunate I’ve got two great boys. When you co-parent, it’s something you have to do together and make sure you’re both pulling the right way.”
“Louise does a great job with the boys. We do the best we can and try to be tough but fair.”
