Hollywood star Jennifer Lawrence has suffered minor injuries after a glass exploded in her face on set of her new Netflix movie Don’t Look Up.
The 30-year-old actress stars alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the upcoming movie which tells the story of two low-level astronomers attempting to warn making about an asteroid that will destroy Earth.
She had been shooting a scene with co-star Timothee Chalamet when the controlled glass explosion sent shards of glass flying, causing some glass making contact with the Hunger Games star’s eyelid.
Photographs obtained by The Sun show the aftermath of Jennifer’s accident with the movie star surrounded by people who rushed to her aid.
A source told Page Six: “An explosion was set up for a stunt in which glass shatters.”

The insider went on to tell the publication that Jennifer is “okay”.
Daly Star has contacted Jennifer’s spokesperson for comment.
It’s not the first time JLaw has been faced with a start turn of events while filming a blockbuster movie.
While filming 2017 horror drama Mother!, the actress damaged her own diaphragm from hyperventilating on set.

Speaking to Variety at the the time, Jennifer said: “I’ve never had to go this dark before.
“So I just kind of lost control of myself. I tore my diaphragm and popped my chest rib out. I don’t know if I’d ever work with Darren again.”
Don’t Look Up is being filmed in Boston but production was shut down for the day following the incident.
The film features a star-studded cast including Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, Timothée Chalamet, Matthew Perry, and pop sensation Ariana Grande.

Production of the movie was previously delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Don’t Look Up, which is Jennifer’s first Netflix movie, is now expected to be released later this year after filming wraps this month.
2021 marks the star’s return to the big screen after a years away from the camera, during which she got married to Cooke Maroney.
While the Jenifer starred in a whooping 15 films between 2012 and 2016, she only appeared in three between then and now – Mother!, Red Sparrow and Dark Phoenix.
Jennifer will star opposite Brian Tyree Henry in the upcoming drama Red, White and Water, about a soldier trying to readjust to life in America after experiencing severe head trauma in Afghanistan.
