Jenny Powell admits she'd love to take part in Strictly and I'm a Celebrity

Jenny Powell rocketed to fame back in 1995 as the host of Wheel of Fortune and instantly became a fan favourite and has since appeared on shows such as Loose Women.

Now, the 52-year-old pinup has teased that she once turned down a lucrative ITV offer to appear on one of the most anticipated shows of the year but now regrets her decision.

Jenny, who is set to celebrate her 35th showbiz anniversary later this month, has spoken candidly about her career in front of the camera and even venturing into the land of reality tele.

The Greatest Hits Radio host said: “I got asked to do I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! years ago but I just didn’t want to then.”

She added: “I would now and I’d love to do Strictly Come Dancing.”

In what appears to be a hint towards network producers, Jenny continued: “Lots of people tell me I should be on these shows but no-one’s asked me yet.”

Addressing her stint on 5Star’s Celebs on the Ranch which is filmed in Arizona, she told: “I did find Celebs On The Ranch quite difficult, I was quite guarded.

“I kept looking at the host of the show [Stephen Bailey] and thinking I’d rather do that.”

The star, who once dated singer Matt Goss of the group Bros, is now engaged to sports therapist Martin Lowe, 46, but they are in no hurry to marry.

“I think wedding plans will be up for discussion once we know what’s going on in the world,” adds Jenny.

“We’ve had a long engagement and it’s as good as married for me.”

Jenny also revealed that her agent who now owns the rights to the 90s hit show Wheel of Fortune has looked into reviving the show.

Jenny said: “About two years ago I asked my agent who had the rights to it – I said it should be coming back really but didn’t do anything about it.”

“Everybody’s become really nostalgic and it would be great for it to come back, but I’d like it to stay similar to the way it was, not get too much technology involved and keep the rickety wheel that sometimes used to break,” said Jenny.
