Katie Price believes Meghan Markle didn’t get help from the Royal Family because it “probably wouldn’t have looked good” for them.
The former glamour model is convinced The Duchess of Sussex was banned from receiving help from the Monarchy despite her pleading that she “didn’t want to be alive anymore” and that she had been having suicidal thoughts for some time.
Katie, 42, believes Meghan has been harshly treated and sympathises with her plight.
“She’s had a character assassination from the media,” said Katie, before adding: “I’ve been there, I’ve been there.
“I’ve been through it and I know, and unfortunately mental health is an illness you can’t see on the outside, it’s on the inside.
“I still go through it now, [I’ve] just been looking at stories that are absolute rubbish.
“With the Royal Family of course, they have people who put out statements.
“She probably did ask for help. Probably wouldn’t have looked good going to The Priory.”
Katie was speaking on the That’s After Life! with Dame Esther Rantzen and Adrian Mills.
And as usual mum-of-five Katie was not afraid to voice her opinions about mental health and living in the media spotlight.

Katie, who has struggled with mental health problems herself – and who did spend time in The Priory – suggested that Meghan would have courted controversy if she did seek out specialist mental health care.
Meanwhile, Katie, who is rumoured to be pregnant with her sixth child, has stressed she wants to keep having kids until she physically can’t have more.
And the TV celeb likened having children to a “conveyor belt”.
Katie is mum to Harvey, 18, who she shares with her ex-boyfriend Dwight York, Junior, 15, and Princess, 13, with her first husband Peter Andre and Jett, seven, and six-year-old Bunny with her third husband Kieran Hayler.
And recently she appeared to confirm she was pregnant again, this time with boyfriend Carl Woods.
Asked about having more children on the podcast, Katie said: “Until I’m not allowed anymore, until the doctors say no more.
“I just love kids. I think I love chaos. Stress, chaos, madness.”
“Enough is never enough for you,” Esther told her.
Katie went on: “I don’t want the doctor to say: ‘You can’t have any more, Kate.’
“I wanna make that choice.
“Junior and Princess and Harvey, they’re older now.
“It’s like a conveyor belt, now they’re old get another new one, new one, I just love it.”
