Laurence Fox has spoken out, revealing that he is running for Mayor of London in the upcoming May election.
The actor who has turned his hand to politics following his memorable Question Time appearance in January 2020 plans to take on the government and “woke politics”.
Just last month, the Lewis actor saw his newly founded Reclaim Party become approved by the Electoral Commission, instantly gaining thousands of supporters.
Now, the 42-year-old plans to “offer a voice to those who are being dominated into silence” ahead of his head-to-head battle with Sadiq Khan, who has held the City Hall seat since May 2016.

The Celebrity Gogglebox star, who has openly shared his views on wearing face coverings told The Telegraph that he has plans to tackle the government to ensure the lockdown period is ended before the June roadmap date.
He said: “I am standing for London mayor. With almost all older and vulnerable people having got their jab, I want the lockdown lifted straight away.

“The Government has said vaccines are working, hospitalisations and deaths are tumbling, but we are still being told we won’t be able to resume normal life until mid-summer at the earliest.”
Freddie Fox’s cousin went on to add: “Both the main parties are competing in this dreary race to be the last to set the country free. Both Tory and Labour have got this badly wrong.

Fox’s party also hopes for a BBC reform as well as a celebration of Britain’s cultural contributions.
Billie Piper’s ex-husband also went on to say that he is “livid” that no other politicians are standing to “defend” the nation as well as the sacrifices made by ancestors to “protect our values, tolerance and freedom”.
He added: “This extreme political correctness must be resisted.”
Laurence shocked the nation last year while appearing on Question Time when he accused a member of the audience of being racist after she claimed he was a “privileged white male”.
He had been appearing on the show and disputed claims that the mainstream media had been racist towards Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex.
