The London Marathon 2021 is finally here, and a bunch of celebrities are getting ready to take on the challenge.
A number of famous faces are attempting to run the 26.2 miles for a range of amazing charities and causes.
TOWIE’s Mark Wright should have been among those taking part this year, including former England captain Andrew Strauss, theatre star Carrie Hope Fletcher and Virgin Radio DJ Chris Evans.
Unfortunately, the TV star is said to be “absolutely gutted” after having to pull out of the London Marathon after taring a muscle.
Mark, who had been receiving training tips from Paula Radcliffe, said: “I’m hugely privileged to have the support of absolute marathon legend, Paula Radcliffe – it doesn’t get much better than that.”
Meanwhile, Cinderella The Musical star Carrie will raise money for two charities, Alzheimer’s Research UK and Papyrus.
She said: “When I run the London Marathon, I can’ promise to be the fastest or the strongest, but I can promise to be the most enthusiastic, the most determined and to smile the entire way round – even if I feel like my feet are falling off by mile three.”
