Loose Women's Kaye Adams questioned by police outside COP26 for 'looking dodgy'

Loose Women star Kaye Adams has revealed that police stopped her outside COP26 as they thought she looked “dodgy”.

The popular panellist was in Glasgow and shot some videos from outside the climate change conference, which she shared with her followers on Instagram.

But as the unsuspecting 58-year-old star was filming, she evidently caught the eye of a plain clothes officer.

Posting her clips on her Instagram Story, Kaye wrote: “Amazing to think the future of the planet is being discussed behind these turnstiles…

“Just slightly concerned to be stopped and questioned by a plain clothes police officer who thought I was dodgy…”

The TV star – who actually lives in Glasgow with her partner and two children – also tweeted about the incident.

“Just got stopped and questioned by a plain clothes police officer near #COP26 for acting ‘surreptitiously’,” she told her 81,000 followers on the site.

“Never been accused of that before!”

One of Kaye’s fans asked her whether she was being “suspiciously surreptitious” at the time.

“Secretive filming apparently,” she replied, joking: “I had my secretive iPhone in my secretive hand.”

Fans couldn’t help joking about the incident, with one quipping that Kaye could be the “next Bond” now that Daniel Craig has vacated the role of 007.

“Busted!” one person tweeted, while another said the TV star was a “naughty girl”.

“You were not doing it very well if the officer noticed you,” said another of Kaye’s followers.

“Ooh err! Hope you are ok though,” said another.

One person jokingly asked Kaye what she had been wearing when the police officer spotted her, and she joked back: “A Spiderman outfit. What’s your point caller?”
